Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026: What You Need to Know
Magic Kingdom is getting ready for another season of cookies, Christmas entertainment, holiday ride overlays and that unmistakable after-dark party atmosphere. If Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is on your 2026 Disney list, here’s what to know before you choose your night — and what’s worth having on your radar once you’re inside.
Start with the ticket and timing basics
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event. Your party ticket is valid for the specific event date you purchase, and Disney limits the number of tickets available for each night.
The useful part for your park-day math: you do not need a regular daytime Magic Kingdom ticket or park reservation to enter at 4:00 PM or later with your party ticket. If you want to enter Magic Kingdom before 4:00 PM, normal admission requirements apply.
Disney also notes that special pricing may be available on select dates for eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members. Because availability can change and party nights can sell out, check Disney’s current ticket page before locking in the rest of your plans.
2026 party dates
The 2026 party is scheduled for these select nights:
- November: 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27 and 29
- December: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 22
If your trip overlaps several party nights, don’t automatically assume you need to cram everything into one perfect evening. Pick the date that fits the rest of your trip best, then decide what matters most to your group before you walk through the gate.
The big party-night highlights
The entertainment is a huge part of what makes this night different from an ordinary Magic Kingdom evening. Disney has confirmed the return of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and the castle-stage show Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.
Frozen Holiday Surprise also returns at Cinderella Castle, along with dance parties and other seasonal entertainment around the park.
Parade
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade brings holiday floats, toy soldiers, gingerbread performers, Disney characters in seasonal attire and Santa through the park. The route travels from Frontierland through Liberty Square and down Main Street, U.S.A., giving you more than one area to consider for viewing.
Fireworks
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks combines holiday music, projections, lighting and fireworks. You don’t necessarily have to plant yourself directly in front of the castle to enjoy the fireworks themselves, although the castle projections are naturally best seen from the hub/Main Street side.
Characters and festive extras
Party nights bring character greetings you won’t normally find together on a regular Magic Kingdom day. Disney has specifically announced Mickey and Minnie in holiday looks at Town Square Theater, Jack Skellington as Santa with Sally, and Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall.
Santa is also scheduled to meet guests at Santa’s Christmas Carnival in Storybook Circus, where Disney says families can find crafts and additional holiday friends.
Holiday versions of familiar attractions
If rides are part of your party-night priorities, several attractions get seasonal twists. Disney has confirmed holiday makeovers for Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, Jungle Cruise and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.
Other Magic Kingdom attractions are also scheduled to operate during the party, including favorites such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
Cookies, festive drinks and the little things that make it feel like Christmas
Cookies and festive beverages are included with your party ticket at select locations around Magic Kingdom. Disney says the treat locations will be shown on the party map and in the My Disney Experience app.
And then there are the things that don’t really fit into a schedule: holiday music, lights, decorations and the “snow” falling along Main Street, U.S.A. Those are easy to overlook when you’re trying to check off every show and attraction — but they’re also a big part of why people love the party.
Don’t try to do every single thing
There is a lot packed into five official party hours. If you try to meet every character, watch every show, grab every treat and ride everything with a holiday overlay, you can turn a Christmas party into a very festive checklist marathon.
A better approach is to choose a few true must-dos before the night begins. Maybe your group cares most about the parade and characters. Maybe it’s the fireworks and holiday rides. Maybe you mostly want to wander through Magic Kingdom with cocoa in hand and soak up the atmosphere. There isn’t one correct version of the night.
Arriving at 4:00 PM can also give you a useful head start before the official 7:00 PM party time. That early window is a good place for dinner, photos, a few regular attractions or simply getting settled so you aren’t using the first hour of the party figuring out what everyone wants to do.
A little outfit inspiration for a very merry park night
Christmas party nights are one of those Disney occasions where festive outfits are half the fun — but you still have a whole evening of walking, rides and Florida weather to think about.

Make the night yours
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party gives you a lot to choose from, but the best plan is the one that leaves enough breathing room to actually enjoy being there. Know your must-dos, understand the ticket and entry rules, and then leave a little room for the unexpected holiday moment you didn’t put on the list.
Disney can adjust entertainment, attractions, availability and other event details, so give the official information one final check as your party date gets closer.
