This Week at Walt Disney World: Sold-Out Halloween Nights, an $89 Water Park Pass & More Disney News
Okay Disney fans, get your calendars out. 📅✨
Disney gave us plenty to talk about this week — Halloween parties are completely sold out, there’s a new $89 Water Park Seasonal Pass, The Magic of Disney Animation is finally OPEN, and we have a few dates you’ll definitely want to remember.
Let’s get into it!
🎃 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Is SOLD OUT
It’s official — every 2026 date for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is sold out.
Apparently everyone was ready for spooky season. 😂🎃
On party nights, Magic Kingdom closes to regular guests at 6 PM — and that has caught plenty of people by surprise.
Nothing like finding out your full Magic Kingdom day is actually ending before dinner. 😬 So if you’re visiting during Halloween season, check the party calendar before choosing your Magic Kingdom day.
Already thinking about what you’re wearing for spooky season? 🎃✨
We’ve got Disney outfit inspiration for fall, Halloween and plenty of other park days.

💦 $89 for Disney Water Parks Through May?!
Okay, THIS got our attention. 😂
Disney has introduced a Water Park Seasonal Pass for $89 plus tax for ages 10+ and $83 for ages 3–9.
The pass is good through May 15, 2027, with blockout dates February 19–21 and March 20–28.
It also includes one round of mini golf before 4 PM during the pass period and 20% off same-day Polar Patio and Beachcomber Shack rentals, subject to availability.
For locals — or anyone making more than one trip during that window — this is definitely one worth doing the math on.
Right now Typhoon Lagoon is temporarily closed, so Blizzard Beach is the operating Disney water park. Always check Disney’s calendar before heading out because water park operations can change.
And yes, $89 for repeat Disney water park visits through May absolutely has us thinking about this one. 😂
✏️ The Magic of Disney Animation Is FINALLY Open!
We’ve been waiting for this one! 🎨✨
The Magic of Disney Animation officially opened September 14 at Hollywood Studios, with Drawn to Wonderland, Off the Page!, Olaf Draws!, the Once Upon a Studio Theater and lots of Disney Animation surprises throughout.
And get this — all 65 Walt Disney Animation Studios animated feature films are represented somewhere inside.
SIXTY-FIVE.
That sounds suspiciously like a challenge to us. 😂
Olaf Draws! gives guests a chance to learn character drawing with Disney Animation artists while Olaf joins the fun. During busy periods, Disney may use an in-person waitlist, so check with a Cast Member when you arrive.
This is one we really want to experience ourselves. Disney Animation, characters, drawing and a building full of little details to find?
Yeah… we could be in there awhile. 😂
We’ll absolutely share more when we get over there, so follow along if you want to come with us. 🎀
💃 A Little Extra Disney Included With Your Park Day
Disney’s Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month celebration is underway through October 15, bringing extra music, food, characters and cultural experiences across Walt Disney World. 🎶✨
And you know we love finding MORE Disney already included with a park ticket. 😂
At Magic Kingdom, keep an eye out for Mirabel, Bruno and Miguel in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.
Over at EPCOT, Mariachi Cobre is part of the celebration, along with Hispanic and Latin artists joining the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.
There are additional offerings happening around Walt Disney World too, so if you’re visiting before October 15, take a look at what’s happening during your trip.
More Disney without another separately ticketed event?
Yes, please. 😂❤️
🤠 Set a Reminder for The Diamond Horseshoe
This one has a VERY specific time attached to it, so grab your phone. 😂
The Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom is getting a limited-time offering beginning October 4 with small plates, specialty nonalcoholic drinks and cocktails inside the Old West music hall.
📅 September 29, 2026
⏰ 8:00 PM ET
Yes. PM.
We checked. 😂
If this one interests you, put the reminder in your phone now because 8 PM is definitely not the Disney reservation time we’d automatically expect.
👽 The Aliens Are Getting a New DJ
Beginning September 25, Alien Swirling Saucers at Hollywood Studios is getting a new soundtrack featuring Lilypad, the frog-shaped smart tablet from Toy Story 5.
Lilypad’s Jams will bring reimagined Toy Story favorites along with new songs created for the attraction.
Is this earth-shattering Disney news?
Nope.
Do we still want to hear what the aliens are blasting the next time we walk through Toy Story Land?
Absolutely. 😂
📅 Lilypad’s Jams begins September 25.
Sometimes Disney doesn’t need to build a whole new attraction to give us another little reason to go check something out.
👀 One More Thing We’re Watching…
Disney has also previewed a new AI-powered Guided Search feature for DisneyWorld.com.
The idea is a more conversational way to search for Walt Disney World vacations — asking questions, comparing resorts and looking at options based on things like your dates or the time of year you want to visit.
It’s still a beta story, so there’s nothing you need to go do with this one yet.
But we are VERY curious. 👀
Anything designed to make navigating Disney vacation information easier is going to get our attention, so we’ll be watching to see where Disney takes it.
📅 Before You Go — Here Are the Dates to Remember
- September 25 — Lilypad’s Jams begins at Alien Swirling Saucers
- September 29 at 8 PM ET — Diamond Horseshoe reservations open
- October 4 — The Diamond Horseshoe limited-time offering begins
- October 15 — Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month celebration concludes
- May 15, 2027 — Water Park Seasonal Pass validity ends
And somewhere in there, we need to get ourselves over to Hollywood Studios to see The Magic of Disney Animation. 😂🎨
Disney changes FAST, which is half the fun — and occasionally half the confusion.

Because apparently we needed another excuse to talk about Disney.
Please. Don’t get us started. 😂🎀🏰
