Ultimate Park Day Packing Checklist

Everything you need for a smooth, magical day in the parks โ€” nothing left behind.

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Download the My Disney Experience App

Before your trip, download it and link your tickets/reservations โ€” it's how you'll check wait times, mobile order food, book Lightning Lane, and find your way around the park all day.

Use this right on your phone โ€” tap any item below to check it off as you pack, no printer needed. Prefer paper? Hit the button below for a clean, printable one-page version.
๐ŸŽซEssentials

The things you truly cannot have a park day without.

Park tickets / MagicBand
Have your digital tickets loaded in the My Disney Experience app before you leave the room, and know your MagicBand/tap method for each person in your group โ€” fumbling for tickets at the gate slows everyone down.
Phone + portable charger
Between the park map, mobile ordering, Lightning Lane, and ride photos, phones drain fast. Bring a charger rated for at least one full charge, and keep the cable somewhere easy to grab, not buried at the bottom of a bag.
Wallet / ID
One tap-to-pay card plus a little cash covers you โ€” a few vendors and food carts occasionally have card reader issues.
Mickey/Minnie ears
Because every park day deserves a little magic โ€” and they make for great photos in front of the castle.
Hand sanitizer
Clip a travel-size bottle to your bag. You'll reach for it constantly between rides, snacks, and character meet-and-greets.
Small first aid kit
Band-aids, pain reliever, and blister pads. Small blisters from all-day walking are, by far, the most common minor injury in the parks.
โ˜€๏ธSun & Weather

Florida sun and surprise afternoon storms both call for a plan.

Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
Apply before you even leave the resort, and set a phone reminder to reapply roughly every two hours โ€” sooner if you've been on a water ride.
SPF lip balm
Lips burn just as easily as skin, and it's the spot people forget most often.
Sunglasses
Bring a strap or clip so they don't get lost on a drop ride or roller coaster.
Hat or visor
A wide-brim hat gives noticeably more shade than a cap for the long stretches of standing in line.
Small compact umbrella
Great for shade during a long midday wait, not just for sudden rain.
Cooling towel
Wet it down at any restroom sink and drape it around your neck between rides โ€” makes a bigger difference than it sounds.
Poncho or light rain jacket
Florida afternoons can bring a fast-moving storm even on a sunny morning. Pack one even if the forecast looks totally clear.
๐ŸŽ’In the Park Bag

What actually earns its space in the bag you're carrying all day.

Refillable water bottle
Free ice water is available at every quick-service counter โ€” just ask. You don't need to buy a drink to fill up.
Snacks
Protein bars, crackers, fruit snacks โ€” genuinely helpful for avoiding a hangry meltdown while you're stuck waiting in a food line.
Sanitizing wipes
Useful for sticky hands after snacks or a character meet-and-greet, when a sink isn't nearby.
Full-body deodorant spray or stick
A midday refresh in a restroom goes a long way on a hot, humid Florida day.
Anti-chafing cream
Especially important on long walking days โ€” apply it before symptoms start, not after you already feel it.
Autograph book + pen
Bring two pens in case one runs out of ink mid-day โ€” it happens more than you'd think.
Ziplock bags
Great for a wet swimsuit, trash on the go, or keeping a phone dry on a water ride.
Comfortable, broken-in shoes
Never wear brand-new shoes to the parks โ€” break them in for at least a couple of weeks beforehand.
Extra pair of socks
A dry pair after a water ride makes the rest of the day noticeably more comfortable.
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆTraveling With Family

For strollers, sensory breaks, and keeping everyone together.

Stroller or wheelchair/ECV plan
Decide in advance whether you're renting on-site or bringing your own, and know the stroller parking rules at each attraction you plan to ride.
Stroller/ECV clip-on fan
Battery-powered fans clip directly onto a stroller or ECV handle for hands-free cooling while you push.
Personal handheld fan
A misting fan is worth the extra bulk in your bag on the hottest days โ€” the difference is real.
Pennies for penny pressing
A fun, cheap souvenir tradition โ€” bring a mix of pennies and quarters, since most machines take both.
Trading pins + lanyard
Cast Members are almost always happy to trade if you simply ask โ€” a nice, easy way to interact with them.
Bubble wands
A big hit for little ones stuck waiting in line โ€” keeps hands busy and moods up.
Change of clothes for little ones
Useful after a water ride or a spill, not just for babies โ€” pack for whoever in your group is most likely to need it.
Any needed medications
Keep them in original, labeled containers in case you need to show them at bag check or security.
Comfort item
A favorite small toy or object for sensory breaks when the parks get loud, crowded, or overwhelming.
Noise-reducing headphones
Helpful for loud attractions, parades, or fireworks for anyone in your group who's sensitive to noise.
Meeting point plan if separated
Pick one specific, easy-to-describe landmark in each park before you go in โ€” not just "by the castle," which is where everyone else says too.
